Ok, Web 2.0 is one thing - a term for a new evolution in the internet, great that's fine even if it is such a corny and cr*p phrase. But jees people, what's all the hype about "web 2.0" graphics? First of all i'd like to know who said "with this new evolution of internet technology, you must create amaturish, crapy, gradient styled graphics for your web page design"?
I really do hate them, I probably couldn't create one due to my own moral ethics and just get sick of seeing all these "how to create web 2.0 graphics" tutorials all over the web. But eventually this epidemic will lead to these things all over websites - i don't think i can cope, hopefully it's a passing phase - a quick one please god - and much like we have archaic old site designs that still remain in hidden dark corners of the internet, ones filled with flashy and twirly things all over them, we'll have onesfull of web 2.0 graphics lurking along side them.
I'll probably be jumped upon for these comments by the "we love web 2.0 graphics" fan club, but hey stop acting like a flock of sheep. The recent advances in the internet technologies is great, people can do so much more with sites but who said we need a style guide for them?
